Nail Art Pens

Recently, one of my best friends gave me a couple of nail art pens. Usually I hand paint my nails with tiny brushes that one can buy for $2 at Daiso Japanese Dollar Store in Richmond, BC, but thought that these pens might be a life-saver

Tonight I tried the Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen in 06 Red and found it disappointing. The pen tip is just like a marker and difficult to navigate over the curved nail. Depending on whether one is ambidextrous, one hand usually ends up looking as if Ray Charles had a seizure mid-pen stroke

After painting my two hands (base coat is Joe Fresh in Mint), I took an hour nap. When I woke the little hearts I painted were gone!

So if you do decide to work with the marker-like nail pens, for goodness sake put on a top coat!
