Exploring the Lower Mainland’s Parks & Green Spaces: Fort Langley

It was a beautiful day in late March when I decided to take the 20 minute drive to Fort Langley here in BC. I knew that the trails and wetlands around there were gorgeous and that by going about one hour before sundown, the lighting would guarantee some pretty pictures.

The town itself is pretty quaint so if cute is your thing, definitely check it out. As for me, I’m not so much into over-priced antique stores and hip cozy coffee shops so I just stayed outdoors. No apologies – I HATE coffee!

Anyway, the town borders the Fraser River and is very close to my next conquest: Derby Reach Park. I biked through there once, but next time I’ll take my camera to document the adventure. Unfortunately, the one thing that deters the view in Fort Langley besides a random stray beer can are the rows of housing built right up against the river. You are almost literally in someone’s backyard. All I have to say about that is $$$

Overall, I am pleased with how the photos turned out. As usual, using the Levels feature in Photoshop I adjusted the white and black balance. Other than that and some cropping, the photos are pretty much untouched.

And to answer your question, yes, it really IS this beautiful living in British Columbia! Everyday no matter the season or weather I am in awe of our gorgeous province.
